[size=10][font=georgia](lmao i know next to nothing about western conference teams in general so i'm sorry if this is inaccurate)

Twenty-nine seconds left in the third period. Faceoff in the Blues' zone. St. Louis led Chicago 3-2. In what, you might ask? Well, this wasn't just any ordinary game. This was game seven of the Western Conference finals. Whoever would win this game would go on to the Cup finals to get a chance to hoist Lord Stanley. This wasn't Kane's first experience with the playoffs- hell, he'd even won the Cup with his team on three occasions- but he definitely was not going to pass this opportunity up. He was going to fight until the clock showed zero. Patrick got into position as his linemate, Artem Anisimov, went to take the faceoff against Paul Stastny. The Hawks had pulled their goalie, Corey Crawford- who was now left to be nervous along with the rest of the players on the bench- in favour of another skater. The winger waited for what felt like an hour as the puck was finally dropped. Play had started. Anisimov won the faceoff, and shot a laser beam right towards Kane. Patrick quickly wound up a slapshot and released, causing the puck to fly right past the Blues' goalie. The winger got caught up in it all- the cheering of the home crowd, the hype of his teammates- everything seemed a thousand times more intense now.

    - Score! How does this man do this?! Patrick Kane rips one right past Jake Allen, in a fantastic faceoff one-timer that will undoubtedly take this game to overtime! And the Chicago Blackhawks might have a chance to win this one aft...

Kane was startled awake, and started groaning to himself. What a great dream that was... Oh, how he wished to be human again. What was he going to be doing again? Oh- that's right, he was going back to Windclan! He'd gotten a little freaked out the first time he was there, but he missed his best friend, Jonathan Toews, who seemed to be taking this whole animal transformation was better than him. Therre was also the fact that he was not all that great at surviving on his own as an animal- it was still so weird. Patrick hoped there was something out there that could fix him, because he definitely did not want to live like this for the rest of his life. He couldn't even tell how his old team was doing, for crying out loud! Hockey had effectively been erased from his life. But, enough of that. Time to focus on actions instead of thoughts. The canine lazily plodded his way up to the border, waiting for someone to arrive. At least it wouldn't be too much of a culture shock now.

[size=10][font=georgia]Patrick was relieved to see to person he wanted to see the most, by far, right in front of him. Although he was relieved to see him, he did feel a twinge of regret and guilt. He'd kind of just disappeared on his own, without leaving any warning to anyone. What kind of best friend does that? "I just couldn't go too long without you, Captain Serious," he joked, walking up to him to graze his side and then turning around again. That was a dog greeting, right? From what he could tell, it was the closest thing he could really do to a hug. Anyways, 'Captain Serious' had been Toews' nickname when he was a human, but Kane didn't really understand why people called him that. He wasn't all that serious- at least, not enough to warrant a nickname like that.

The canine couldn't help but notice that his friend looked a little... off. "What's been up with you lately? You look like you've had a few too many burgers," he asked, knowing full well to expect a few questions back. Kane's relations with Toews had been a little rocky before he left, but he was hoping to be able to put that behind himself now and start fresh- well, fresh, animal-wise, at least. They had no beef when they were humans.

[size=10][font=georgia]he's based off of superstar nhl player patrick kane, and was formerly a human. open to mostly anything, just ask :3 right now i'd love for him to get some

    friends
    acquaintances
    rivals
enemies (he can get kind of hotheaded sometimes)
crushes (both ways or either way)/short term romances
    general interaction threads
some buddies to talk about hockey with (cx)

[size=10][font=georgia]An ask me anything? Kane had heard of these before- they were usually done online, but it couldn't be done that way here, for obvious reasons. He himself had never been able to hold one, but since nobody knew about his life before this one, he thought that he might just do one in the future. Kane really wanted to ask if this guy was okay- that was a question, but it didn't seem like one the liger would take too kindly to. "What's your name?" the australian cattle dog asked as he padded over. It was a boring, question, and he knew it, but hey, he couldn't really come up with anything else. He would ask favourite sport, but he didn't know if animals really played sports. It seemed stupid to think that they might be able to, but Patrick had found that they could do a hell of things that he didn't think they could before he'd become one.

[size=10][font=georgia]Kane didn't know any of the names mentioned, nor was he very familiar with the 'ranks' here. Nevertheless, the canine sat until the meeting ended, feeling more confused after it than before it. The one name that stood out to him was Vader- Patrick wouldn't call himself a huge Star Wars fan, but it wasn't like he didn't know who Darth Vader was. It was a German name, right? Maybe that's why somebody has it here- that, or they knew a big Star Wars fan, which didn't seem likely, considering that they were all animals.

[size=10][font=georgia]Well, this guy certainly looked interesting. Kane padded over, stopping near Jonathan, the only person around that he really knew. It was weird, wasn't it? He wasn't supposed to feel like the odd one out since he wasn't the joiner, but he still did feel that way. It wasn't that he was unfamiliar with his clanmates, no- it was because he just was still uncomfortable with this life period. Many times he longed for nothing more than to wake up a human again, but his wish had not yet been granted.

[size=10][font=georgia](just realized i still haven't typed up a decent response in kane's joining thread... will do soon!)
Kane had found himself alone in Windclan camp, once again. He'd found a book and had started idly reading it- and he wasn't too keen on reading. There didn't seem to be anything to do here! He was already out to try hunting, and had failed miserably at it- not to mention gotten laughed at- so there was no way he was going to go out there and embarrass himself again.

Seeing Jonathan made him so happy. He didn't know if it made him seem creepy to the other Windclanners, but it was just so comforting to have a friend in all of this... whatever this was. Of course, this was life as usual to everyone else but him and Toews, that Patrick was almost sure of. They'd been animals their whole lives, at least, the overwhelming majority had been. "Hey!" he called out with a grin, before noticing that the male looked tired. "You need some help with som-" his speech was stopped in its tracks as Jonathan plummeted to the ground. "H-Holy shit! What the fuck?!" Kane yelled in panic. Had his best friend just fainted? Was there any way to help him in the animal world?

[size=10][font=georgia]tbh i'd kill for tickets to a habs game at the bell centre, but, living in southern ontario, montreal's quite a ways away from me (plus it's pretty hard to get tickets haha, but i imagine it's the same for the hawks), so the only feasible options, distance-wise, are buffalo and toronto (and it's true- it's IMPOSSIBLE to get tickets to a leafs game cx)

[size=10][font=georgia]The canine was happy for his friend at first. He was trying to make it back to Chicago! He thought that maybe it would be about his visit... That was when the story took a turn and became darker. Quite a bit darker, but also pretty bizarre. Patrick couldn't help but let out a nervous laugh. It was weird- he wasn't the guy to joke about this kind of stuff, but what he was talking about just seemed so ridiculous. "Uh, what?! But- you're a dude, right? Guys can't get pregnant, right?" Kane thought that maybe that could exist in some type of weird, rare animal, but not something as common as a wolf. Had Jonathan changed, maybe? Perhaps he was more of a joker now, but this definitely didn't seem very funny. Kane was having trouble processing what he'd just heard, and so he pushed it away into denial with an anxious smile.
